The school was founded by Sri. N. Krishnaswamy Mudaliar on 16.6.1961. The founder was popularly and fondly known as "Vellore Vallal", because of his simplicity and because of his nature of readiness reach out to help the needy.
He was married to Smt. Dhanabakkiyam Ammal. As this couple was not blessed with children by the Divine, Our Vellore Vallal starteddevoting his time and energy towards developing educational Institutions. The First one of such thing was our school Sri. N. Krishnaswamy Mudaliar Higher Secondary School.
As our founder was strongly bent upon Woman's Education and their upliftment, he started, DKM college for women in the year 1972.
